Born in New York, I spent the first eight years of my life above the Mason-Dixon Line, surrounded by loving parents, my sister and her growing family. In third grade, a trip to visit my sister in Georgia turned into househunting when my parents decided it was time for a change. I was quickly taught to say "ma'am" and "sir," and I learned what it meant to put something "up."
My first year at Auburn was filled with sciences and maths. While learning the structures of cells and how to find x wasn't the worst thing, I also didn't love it. Following a minor breakdown and some major introspection, I realized I couldn't see myself doing something that I didn't love. I needed something that could fuel my creative soul. My passion for writing and my love of communicating led me to public relations. Now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, I am the Marketing Communications Coordinator for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
" Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."
" Creating a life that reflects your values and satisfies your soul is a rare achievement."
" If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."
